It already works this way
One approval. Nothing left to re-enter.
This isn’t a roadmap item. It’s what happens today, when a manager taps Approve.
- 1
The request routes itself
Meera requests two days of casual leave. The approval chain picks her manager automatically — and her manager's delegate, if she's away.
- 2
Her manager approves in one click
From the dashboard, with the team calendar showing who else is already off that week.
- 3
A ledger entry is written
Her balance isn't edited by anyone — it's derived from the ledger. Which means it can still be explained, line by line, months from now.
- 4
Attendance already knows
Attendance derivation reads the approved leave, so those two days aren't counted absent and aren't double-counted.
- 5
The audit log records the change
Which field changed, who changed it, when — append-only, enforced at the database, not in the app.
One click, five things happen, nothing gets re-keyed. That's the platform argument — and it's the part you can check today.
The problem
Ten systems that don't talk to each other.
ViniOffice connects them.
Why one platform
Ten specialist tools is a luxury a growing company can't afford.
Best-of-breed works when you have a team to integrate it and a budget per seat per tool. At 40 people, or 400, you have neither. What you need is one system that's good at everything you actually do — one login, one bill, one directory — where the leave module and the payroll module were never separate products that had to learn to talk to each other.
We're not trying to build the best expense tool in the world. We're trying to be the last stack you have to assemble.
One login for everything
Employee records, leave and attendance already run on one directory, one permission model and one audit trail. Every module we add lands on that same foundation — so there is never a second directory to reconcile.
Your data stays isolated
Each company's data is separated in the database with row-level security, not just application checks. Role-based access, encrypted national IDs and bank details, and an append-only audit trail — down to which field changed — are on by default.
Balances that reconcile
Every accrual, request, approval and adjustment is a ledger entry — not a number someone edited. A balance can always be explained, line by line, months later.
Set it up your way
Leave policies and accrual rules, multi-step approval chains with delegation, holiday calendars, shifts and work weeks, and your own org structure — all configurable from the admin screens. No engineering required.
Live today
Three modules, in production, on one foundation.
Everything below works now. Everything we add lands on the same directory, the same permissions and the same audit trail.
People
- Directory and org structure, with departments, designations and locations you configure
- Tiered profiles enforced server-side, not hidden in the UI
- Effective-dated reporting lines, so a manager sees their whole tree
- National IDs and bank details encrypted at rest — revealing one is a separate, permissioned, audited action
- CSV bulk import, with a dry run first
Leave
- Every accrual, request and adjustment is a ledger entry
- Per-type accrual rules, notice periods, negative-balance rules and holiday calendars
- Team calendar, so coverage gaps surface before approval
- Multi-step approval chains, with delegation when someone's away
Attendance
- Web punch with a catalog of shifts and per-employee rosters
- Optional geofencing, so on-site attendance is verifiable
- Materialised into a clean daily view — one derived row per person per day
- Leave-aware derivation — approved days are never counted absent
- Regularization for missed punches, inside a window you configure
- Effective-dated shift assignment, so changing a roster doesn't rewrite history
- Every punch is an append-only event — the record can't be edited after the fact
The sequence
We're building it in the order the data demands.
Every module needs the one before it. This isn't a wishlist — it's a dependency chain.
- 1
Directory & org structure
LiveEverything reads from here. Nothing else can be built until this is right.
- 2
Leave & time-off
LiveThe highest-frequency workflow in any company — and the first real test of the ledger and the approval engine.
- 3
Attendance & shifts
LiveNeeds the directory for rosters and leave for derivation.
- 4
Payroll & payslips
NextNeeds all three above. India PF, ESI and statutory tax built in from the start, not bolted on later.
- 5
Expenses & advances
NextRuns on the same approval engine leave already uses.
- 6
Assets & workplace
NextNeeds the employee lifecycle to hang assignment and return off.
- 7
Performance, recruitment, engagement
LaterValuable, but nothing else depends on them — so they wait.
- 8
AI across all of it
ExploringAn assistant on top of half your data is a chatbot that guesses.
See the full roadmap — every module, the integrations track, and what we’ve decided not to build.
Security & trust
The answers your security review actually asks for.
Every claim below is enforced in the product today — most of it at the database, where application code can't get it wrong.
Encrypted secrets
AES-256 for national IDs and bank details
Role-based access
Granular permissions per role
Append-only audit log
Every change logged, immutable at the database
Data isolation
Row-level security per tenant
Built here
A global platform will never do PF and ESI properly.
That's the part of your stack no foreign all-in-one is ever going to get right, and it's where we start on payroll. Statutory profiles, tax declarations, regime selection and proof verification are designed into the payroll module from day one — not shipped as a regional add-on two years later.
Built in India, for companies that run here. 🇮🇳
Who it's for
Works for every role on the team
HR & People teams
Run the directory, leave policies and approvals from one place, with reminders that chase people for you.
Managers
Approve leave in a click, see who is off before you commit to a deadline, and view your whole reporting line as a tree.
Employees
One place to request time off, check your balance, punch in and out, and keep your own details current.
IT & Security
Tenant isolation at the database, granular RBAC, encrypted sensitive fields and an audit log nothing can rewrite.
The pilot
Early, and working.
We started ViniByte because the software meant to help people teams mostly got in the way — clunky, priced for enterprises, and never quite built for how growing companies actually run.
ViniOffice is our answer, and we’re building it with growing companies rather than just for them — so if you join now, what ships next is partly your call.
Early access
Be among the first companies to use ViniOffice.
We’re working with a small group of growing companies to shape the future of workplace operations. Early users help decide what we build next.
What happens next: we'll reply, show you the platform on a call, and set up your directory with you. No card, no contract.

FAQ
Questions, answered
What is ViniOffice?+
ViniOffice is the operating platform for your workplace — one connected system for the people, finances, assets and day-to-day operations a company runs on, instead of a pile of disconnected tools. Three modules are live today: employee records and org structure, leave and time-off with a full balance ledger, and attendance with shifts and rosters. The rest of the platform — payroll, expenses, performance, recruiting, assets, documents and more — is on the roadmap and lands on the same directory and permission model.
You're a small team. Can you really build all of this?+
That is the right question to ask, and the answer is in the order we build in. The employee directory, the permission model, the approval engine and the audit trail are already built and running in production — and payroll, expenses and assets don't rebuild any of them, they read from them. The nth module is far cheaper than the first, which is why the sequence matters more than the module count: each one is deliberately the cheapest useful thing we can build on what already works. Look at the build order and the ship log on our homepage and judge us on what has actually landed, and how fast, rather than on a roadmap.
Why would we choose this over Zoho People or Keka?+
Honestly: they are mature products and we are not. If your team is already happy on an established HRMS, we're not the switch — we're built for teams still running on spreadsheets, shared drives and email approvals. What we offer instead of maturity is one genuinely shared foundation: every module reads the same directory, the same permission model and the same approval engine, rather than modules that were separate products first and had to learn to talk to each other. Concretely, that means a leave ledger where every balance reconciles line by line months later, and tenant isolation and an append-only audit trail that the database enforces rather than application code.
Who is ViniOffice for?+
ViniOffice is built for small and mid-sized companies that want to run their company from one connected platform instead of a stack of separate tools. It serves HR teams, managers, employees, and IT/security stakeholders, and expands to finance, workplace and operations as those areas of the platform ship.
How does ViniOffice keep our data secure?+
ViniOffice isolates each organization's data at the database level using PostgreSQL row-level security, in addition to application-layer checks — the app connects as a role that cannot bypass those policies, so a bug in application code still can't read another tenant's rows. On top of that: role-based access control with per-role reach, AES-256 encryption of national IDs and bank details, and an audit trail that records every change — who, what, when and from where — and is append-only at the database itself, so no code path can rewrite history. Changes to people records, pay and leave policy are logged field by field, with sensitive values like salary masked in the log so the audit trail never becomes a second copy of the data it is auditing. SAML single sign-on and SCIM provisioning are on the roadmap, not available yet.
Does ViniOffice support single sign-on and directory sync?+
Not yet. SAML single sign-on and SCIM 2.0 provisioning are on the roadmap and are not available today. Sign-in is email and password with token-based sessions; you can bulk-load people from CSV, and access is revoked immediately when someone is offboarded. If SSO is a requirement for your rollout, tell us on the early-access form — it helps us sequence it.
Can I turn modules on and off?+
Yes — ViniOffice is modular, and your workspace only shows the modules you're using. During early access we switch modules on for your organization rather than exposing a self-serve marketplace, so tell us what you need. Each live module brings its own settings and approval configuration.
Does ViniOffice handle onboarding for new hires?+
Partly, today. You can create an employee (individually or by CSV import), capture their profile, job assignment and emergency details, and move them through guided lifecycle stages — pre-onboarding, onboarding, active — with HR activating them in one step. The full self-service new-hire wizard, with policy acknowledgements and role-targeted checklists, is on the roadmap.
Is there an AI assistant?+
Not yet. An "Ask HR" assistant — answering policy and leave-balance questions from your own data — is on the roadmap. We're building the connected record it would need to answer from first; an assistant on top of half the data would just be a chatbot that guesses.
Is ViniOffice available yet?+
ViniOffice is in early access, and we're running a pilot with a small first group of companies. The people side of the platform — employee records, leave and attendance — is live and in real use today. Join the waitlist on the site to get access and help shape what ships next.
What happens to our data if you shut down?+
Your data stays yours, and you can have all of it as CSV whenever you ask — the employee directory and profiles, the full leave ledger with every accrual and adjustment, and your attendance records. Today you ask us and we send it; self-serve export from inside the app is on the roadmap. That holds whether we shut down or you simply decide to leave: you go with everything, in a format any other system can read. We'd rather you stay because the product is good than because your data is stuck in it.
What will it cost when the pilot ends?+
We haven't set pricing yet — the product is still being built and the pilot is free, with no card and no invoice. What we can commit to now is how the change will happen: pilot companies get plenty of notice, nothing converts to a paid plan automatically, and you decide for yourself whether to continue.
What does ViniOffice cost?+
Nothing while we're in pilot. Companies in the pilot programme use ViniOffice free, with no card and no invoice — we're still building, and we'd rather have your feedback than your money. We haven't set pricing yet; when we do, pilot companies get plenty of notice and decide for themselves whether to continue. There's no automatic conversion to a paid plan.
